10th Anniversary BRIGHT N SANDY FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL

This year’s Bright n Sandy Food & Wine Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary and promises to showcase some of the finest food and wine ever presented.

The Festival, presented by Bayside City Council, is an official event of the prestigious Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and will be held on Sunday 2 March 2014 from 11am to 6pm at Green Point, Brighton overlooking the iconic Brighton bathing boxes and city skyline.

This year thousands of locals and visitors are expected to once again attend the Festival to take part in cooking demonstrations, taste gourmet food and enjoy a fun day out for all the family.

Cooking demonstrations by a wide range of celebrity chefs will commence at 11.30am and will include Adam D’Sylva, Paul Mercurio, Ian Curley, Dan Vaughan from The Pantry and Michele & Simon from the new gourmet food store in Hampton Street, The Food Smith. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample or purchase food and wine from more than 35 exhibitors, including wines from several of Victoria’s premier vineyards.

Popular television celebrity, Geoff ‘Coxy’ Cox, will be Master of Ceremonies for an exciting line-up of entertainment on the Mercedes Benz Brighton Stage.

Children will have the opportunity to meet Dirt Girl, be entertained by roving entertainers throughout the day and can participate in the cooking classes and gingerbread decorating. Other children’s entertainment will include, face painting, art and craft, The Dreaming Space & Planks by Green Hat Workshop.

Entry to the Festival is $2.50 which puts visitors in the draw to win some amazing prizes throughout the day.

The 10th Bright n Sandy Food & Wine Festival promises to be a day full of excitement and activity and, most importantly, fun for all the family.
