FREE public program - ‘In Conversation’ with Frances Lindsay AM, Gareth Sansom, Tim McMonagle, and Jane Burton

On Thursday 31 July at 6:30pm, The Gallery @ BACC invites you to join the curator of Liminal_Narratives, Frances Lindsay AM as she leads an ‘In Conversation’ with artists Gareth Sansom, Tim McMonagle and Jane Burton.

Liminal_Narratives is the fourth exhibition in The Gallery @ BACC’s annual Midwinter Masters Series.  It is the first exhibition curated by Frances Lindsay since leaving her position as Deputy Director of the National Gallery of Victoria.

 Featuring eleven of Melbourne’s most respected practitioners working across a broad range of media, Liminal_Narratives invites viewers to consider the power of visual story-telling, by encountering masked figures, tales of life and loss and shifting boundaries between reality and fiction.

Mayor Cr Laurence Evans said: ‘In Conversation’ is a wonderful opportuinity for members of the the Bayside community to spend an evening with three of Australia’s best contemporary artists and to gain a deeper insight into this  exciting and engaging exhibition’.   

Liminal_Narratives will run from 28 June to 31 August 2014 at The Gallery @ Bayside Arts & Cultural Centre, Brighton Town Hall.
