Bayside Healthy Ageing Expo 2014

3 October 2014

More than 30 stall holders including the Probus Clubs, National Servicemen's Association, Sandringham Life Activities, and Bayside U3A will be participating at this year’s Healthy Ageing Expo on Tuesday 7 October.

This annual event, presented by Bayside City Council, provides an opportunity for older Bayside residents to learn about the amazing range of social activities and community services available to them in the municipality.

Bayside Mayor, Cr. Laurence Evans said that the breadth of opportunities available to older people is exciting and growing every year.

“Bayside is fortunate to have a range of outstanding social clubs and service organisations available to our residents,” Cr Evans said.

“Our Healthy Ageing Expo provides an opportunity for older residents to connect with these services in a fun and social environment.”

The event will also have complimentary hearing testing as well as diabetes awareness booths.

Entry to the event is free and each year over 200 older Baysiders come along to enjoy the day.
