Bayside City Council will present An Evening with Clare Bowditch at 7.45pm on Wednesday 14 November as part of its Artist Seminar Series.

Clare Bowditch is a musician, writer, coach, social commentator and sometimes actor who stars as ‘Rosanna’ on Channel 10’s Offspring.  Clare has just recorded her fifth studio album, “The Winter I Chose Happiness”, released by Island Records in September 2012.

Clare has been Rolling Stone’s Woman of the Year, ARIA’s Best Female Artist, Yen Young Woman of the Year (music), and recently scored the popular-vote EG Female Artist of the Year award. She’s had top ten hits, flown on private jets with Leonard Cohen, interviewed the PM, toured the world playing for hundreds of thousands of people, and written songs with many of Australia’s greats.

Join Clare Bowditch as she discusses her work. This will be a memorable evening with
a significant Australian musician and personality.

Bayside City Council's Arts and Culture Department present artist seminars annually as a way of providing professional networking opportunities and encounters with high profile arts practitioners for emerging artists in Bayside. In addition these seminars provide an opportunity for the community to be exposed to a variety of artistic practices and ideas. Mirka Mora, Li Cunxin, Stelarc, Don Watson, Meryl Tankard, Jimmy Little, Robyn Nevin, Akira Isogawa and Joanna Murray-Smith have participated in this series in the past.

Tickets price $35 per head  ($30 concession) - includes refreshments which will be available from 7pm.
