Artist Talk with Bali Portman, founder and Director of Yarn Corner

On Sunday 18 November, the Gallery will host a free artist talk with the founder and Director of Yarn Corner, Bali Portman.

Since late September, traders and visitors to Hampton Street have been enjoying the crafty and clever efforts of Yarn Corner, a group of dedicated ‘yarn bombers’ who work together to beautify urban spaces with their cuddly brand of knitted and crocheted street art.

Produced in conjunction with The Gallery @ BACC’s Dances with Wools exhibition, the Hampton Street installation includes the ‘bombing’ of trees, bike racks, chairs, light poles and even a push bike!

Join Bali and crew as they reveal the story behind one of the world’s biggest yarn bombing groups.  Gain a unique insight into how their installations come together and view some amazing examples of their previous work.
