2013 Bayside Children's Christmas Party - new venue but just as much fun!

10 September 2013

This year’s Children’s Christmas Party for Bayside children and their families will be held on Wednesday 4 December at a new venue – Spring Street Reserve in Spring Street, Sandringham.

Due to the redevelopment of the Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham, the venue for this year’s children’s party has changed.

However, despite the change of venue there will still be loads of activities for children including an animal farm, arts and crafts activities, face painting, a reptile show, a jumping castle and, of course the highlight of the annual picnic, a visit from very special guest - Santa Claus.

Bayside City Council hosts the Children’s Party for local families with preschool aged children annually, attracting an average of 1000 people every year.

The festivities will go from 10am to 12 noon with Santa Claus scheduled to visit at around 11am.  Families are encouraged to bring a picnic.

Bayside City Council Mayor Stephen Hartney said this special family event is a great opportunity for families to pack a summer picnic and join in the spirit of Christmas.

“This Party is a wonderful community event for parents and their children to socialise with other members of the community in a fun, safe and happy environment,” he said.

Bayside City Council’s Children’s Christmas Party is free for Bayside families and no bookings are required.
