Have your say: parking in Bayside's shopping precincts

Council is investigating ways to improve car parking in and around Bayside’s biggest shopping precincts.

A series of workshops are being held in November for residents to share their thoughts with Council on car parking in Bay Street, Church Street, Hampton Street and Sandringham Village activity Centres.

Feedback is also invited on our online discussion forum

Bayside Mayor Cr. Felicity Frederico said Council was interested in hearing from people who visited, lived or working in these areas.

“We want to know your views on the challenges, issues and opportunities for parking in these areas,” Cr Frederico said.

“Once we know the issues, we can explore all possible solutions to manage parking in the long term.”

“Council will use your input to develop a car parking plan for each of these activity centres.”

“I encourage you to have your say through an online forum or face-to-face at a workshop”

The workshop will be held at the following locations and times:

Bay Street workshop
Tuesday 18 November, 6-8pm
Brighton on the Bay, corner of Aisling Street and Bay Street, Brighton

Church Street workshop
Wednesday 19 November, 6-8pm
St Andrews Church, 19-21 St Andrews Street, Brighton

Sandringham Village workshop
Tuesday 25 November, 6-8pm
Sandringham Hotel, Melrose Street

Hampton Street workshop
Hampton Community Centre, 14 Willis Street, Hampton
