Meals on wheels
The delivered meals service (Meals on Wheels) provides a nutritious three-course meal to residents who are having difficulty preparing their meals.
The service includes menu choice and caters for special dietary needs.
Meals are delivered daily to your door Monday to Friday.
Weekend meals are delivered on Friday.
In most instances meals are delivered chilled so that you can reheat them at the time of your choice.
Hot meals are delivered Monday to Friday for those residents who are unable to heat a meal.
Costs
Fees are based on a sliding scale in accordance with your annual income. To make a payment, view the Pay a health or community care bill information.
How to apply
Anyone can apply by making a referral for the service, including yourself, a relative or friend, a nurse, a general practitioner or another service provider.

Council staff will arrange a convenient time to visit you at home to discuss the service and obtain necessary information.
You may have someone with you during this visit if you wish, perhaps a family member or friend.
