Off leash areas
Dogs must be on a leash at all times throughout Bayside unless you are located in a designated 'off leash' area at the appropriate time.

- Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary, Beaumaris
- Area 1: Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary Foreshore area between: Dalgetty Road and the Sea Scouts Boat Ramp, Fourth Street and the McGregor Avenue ramp, the area south of the Beaumaris Life Saving Club and Dalgetty Road, the disabled ramp at the southern end of the Beaumaris Yacht Club car park (B17) and the Beaumaris Life Saving Club
- Off leash rules 1 November - 31 March: Dogs are prohibited between 10am and 7.30pm, and dogs are permitted off leash between 7.30pm and 10am.
- Off leash rules 1 April - 31 October: Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.
- Area 2: Rickett’s Point Marine Sanctuary Foreshore area between the McGregor Avenue ramp and the disabled ramp at the southern end of the Beaumaris Yacht Club car park (B17):
- Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.

- Location details: (Black Rock Beach sand and rock foreshore areas betwee the southern side of Half Moon Bay car part (B14) and Fourth Street)
- Off leash rules 1 November - 31 March: Dogs are prohibited between 10am and 7.30pm, and dogs are permitted off leash between 7.30pm and 10am.
- Off leash rules 1 April - 31 October: Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.

- Location details: Brighton Beach sand and rock foreshore areas between the rock groyne opposite New Street and Were Street.
- Off leash rules 1 November - 31 March: Dogs are prohibited between 10am and 7.30pm, and dogs are permitted off leash between 7.30pm and 10am.
- Off leash rules 1 April - 31 October: Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.

- Dendy Street Beach, Brighton
- Location details: Dendy Street Beach sand and rock foreshore areas between Keith Court and Gould Street.
- Off leash rules 1 November - 31 March: Dogs are prohibited between 10am and 7.30pm, and dogs are permitted off leash between 7.30pm and 10am.
- Off leash rules 1 April - 31 October: Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.

- Location details: Elsternwick Park bordered by New Street, Bent Avenue, St. Kilda Street and Head Street.
- Dogs are permitted off leash at all times, but dogs are prohibited from the fenced lake area at all times.

- Location details: Head Street Beach sand and rock foreshore areas between Head Street and Cole Street, Brighton.
- Dogs are permitted on leash at all times (consistent with Port Phillip Council controls on adjacent beach).

- Location details: Cheltenham Park, Park Road, Cheltenham (excluding the playground, BBQ area), bordered by Park Rd, the Cheltenham Golf Club boundary, the Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery and the western boundary of the flora and fauna reserve.

- Location details: Half Moon Bay sand and rock foreshore areas between Red Bluff and the northern side of Half Moon Bay car park (B14).

- Off leash rules 1 April - 31 October: Dogs are permitted off leash at all times.

- Location details: Hampton Life Saving Club Beach sand and rock foreshore areas between the wooden groyne opposite the shelter and barbeque south of Small Street and the rock groyne opposite New Street.
