Poultry (chickens, ducks, turkey, guineas)

This does not include roosters as they are prohibited from being kept on the premises unless a Permit has been obtained from Council.

All Permit applications need to be in writing to the Local Laws & Investigations Department of Council.

An enclosure is required to ensure that rats cannot gain entry into where the poultry are housed and must be situated with consideration given to your neighbours' amenity.
