Overview

Council’s Arts and Culture Department present two artist seminars each year as a way of providing professional networking opportunities, and encounters with high profile arts practitioners for emerging artists in Bayside. In addition to these aims the seminars provide an opportunity for the community to be exposed to a variety of artistic practices and ideas.

Don Watson

Don Watson is one of Australia's most distinguished writers and public speakers. He was an academic historian until 1983 and has since been a freelance writer of history, comedy, films, reviews and newspaper columns.

In addition to regular books, articles and essays, he has also written feature films, including The Man Who Sued God, starring Billy Connolly and Judy Davis. 

Join Don Watson as he discusses his latest release American Journeys, as well as a snapshot of his earlier works.  This will be a most memorable evening with one of Australia’s premier writers.
