When an application is received it will first be checked to determine whether further information is required.
If so, a letter will be sent to the applicant requesting this.
If no further information is required, the application will be advertised (if it has been determined that advertising is necessary) for 14 days.
After this time, if there are objections or if the application is to be refused, it will be reported to an Approvals Committee meeting for a decision.
If there are no objections and the Council is likely to approve the proposal, the application may be approved by delegation.
