Council has 60 days within which to decide an application.
This does not include requests for further information or advertising of the application.
If there are objections, the application will be reported to the Approvals Committee Meeting Committee which meets every two (2) weeks.
It is common for a multi-dwelling application to take a minimum of two to three months to decide in these circumstances.
If there are no objections, the application may be decided by delegation, which may take less than two months.
If an appeal is lodged against the decision, the final decision will take considerably longer (i.e. at least a further six to seven months.)
