Melbourne Heritage Restoration Fund (MHRF)
Q. What is the Melbourne Heritage Restoration Fund (MHRF)? A. The Melbourne Heritage Restoration Fund (MHRF) is a non-for-profit, collaborative initiative. The Victorian Heritage Council and the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) make up the Committee of Management, which oversee the MHRF. The MHRF established a 'Seeding Fund' to support inner and middle-ring Councils to encourage conservation and restoration for privately owned heritage buildings. The support is provided within the context of an approved Heritage Project, which is facilitated by Council.
- MHRF Funded Heritage Projects in Bayside: Council nominated the reinstallation of original verandahs and façade restoration for the 'Munro’s Building' in Church Street Brighton at a total project cost of $250,000 as well as façade restoration for a number of buildings in Melrose Street, Sandringham at a total cost of $25,000.
