Quality choices for Bayside Families.
"The aim of Bayside Child Care Services is to provide high quality child care, sensitive to the individual needs of children and their families within the Bayside municipality".
Who can use child care?
Care is available to any family who requires reliable, high quality child care and education for their child/children.
This includes:
• Families who are working
• Families looking for work or studying
• Families of children with special needs
• Families needing time for appointments or for respite care
Our educators strongly promote the respect of children through the continual encouragement of positive behaviour in order to foster children's abilities and self esteem. Bayside Child Care Centres have a mix of trained and experienced staff who work towards standards of excellence in the education and care of young children.
Council owns and manages two Long Day Care Centres and a Family Day Care Scheme.
Commonwealth Childcare Benefits is available.
In response to issues raised during the consultation phase of developing the Municipal Early Years Plan 2004-2008, Council is piloting the use of a website which can help you access vacancies in long day care child care in the Bayside area. Go to www.childcarenow.com.au and type in the postcode of the area in Bayside that you would like to access childcare. the listing will identify vacancies in centres registered with this program. You can then telephone the centre and make arrangements to visit and seek further information.
