Refurbishment of the Highett Community Centre is progressing well with works on track for completion early in 2010. 

When the building is ready, the Highett Seniors and Highett Neighbourhood House’s programs and administration will relocate to within the refurbished building.

Scope of works

• Upgrading of the toilets
• Partitioning of the large open area to create smaller activity spaces for Highett Neighbourhood House activities
• Improvements to the entry area facing Livingston Street
• Installation of rain water tanks for toilet flushing.

Project duration

• August 2009 until January 2010.
