TWO of Bayside City Council’s public golf courses: Elsternwick Park Golf Course and Brighton Golf Course, will be leased, operated and managed by Leisure Management Services, from 1 July 2008 for 20 years.

Bayside Mayor Councillor Andrew McLorinan said Elsternwick Park Golf Course would continue to operate as a 9-hole course and Brighton Golf Course as an 18-hole course in the short term.

“Leisure Management Services will make improvements to both courses, practice fairways and associated amenities. They are also keen to investigate a driving range option at Elsternwick Park Golf Course.

“Community consultation will be carried out before any changes are made to the courses,” McLorinan said.
