Playground refurbishment at Tulip/Spring Streets Reserve

Project

As part of its playground strategy and following consultation with the community, Bayside City Council is planning to refurbish the existing playground in the reserve between Tulip Street and Spring Street in Sandringham.

The playground works include:

  • retention and refurbishment of the existing rock structure
  • removal of sand from around the rock structure and the installation of a rubber soft-fall surface
  • installation of new playground equipment and swings
  • upgrading of seating and picnic tables
  • installation of new shade structures and BBQ area
  • planting and associated landscaping.

Subject to budget constraints the playground works may be staged.

Project timing

The project is due for completion in August 2008.
