Extend your library of business knowledge - Tuesday 20 May 2008

‘EXTEND your library of business knowledge’ is the message Bayside City Council and the Bayside Business Network wants to spread to the community.

Bayside Mayor Councillor Andrew McLorinan said Council wanted to encourage the community to use their local Bayside library branch to do their business research.

“Bayside’s four libraries are a huge base for knowledge. There is a range of books on marketing, law and human resources. Brighton Library also holds a business collection, which includes books on business operations such as tax and information on setting up a small business.

“But libraries are not just about books, there are online databases, photocopying and public computer access with internet access. Brighton Library has wireless access, which enables members of the community to use their own laptops,” Cr McLorinan said.

Becoming members of both the Bayside Library Service and the Bayside Business Network will give the business community two great resources. The Library Service is a great resource for research, background and knowledge. The Bayside Business Network provides the community with support, networking and development.

“The partnership between the Bayside Library Service and the Bayside Business Network is a great opportunity for the community to access information and resources on how to run a successful business,” Cr McLorinan said.

Bayside Library Service members can receive a 10 per cent discount off the joining fee if they join the Bayside Business Network. For more information visit the Bayside Business Network www.baysidebusiness.com.au
