The first stage of pavement and streetscape improvements has been completed of an ongoing upgrade along the Church Street Village.  The second stage will commence in March 2010.

For the duration of the works, access to residences and shops will be maintained at all times.

The streetscape works include:

• staged replacement of damaged footpaths;
• expanded garden beds around street trees to reduce pavement damage, including replanting of existing garden beds;
• relocation of street furniture to ensure greater pedestrian access and flow, including replacement of rubbish bins and bicycle hoops;
• painting of existing street fencing, light poles and bollards;
• kerb and channel works to enhance water flow to existing tree plantings; and
• pruning of branches on street trees.
