Securing Bank of Queensland chief David Liddy as its final business breakfast speaker for the year is quite a coup for the Bayside Business Network.
An experienced international banker, he has been at the centre of BOQ’s transformation from a slow-and-steady regional bank into an innovative and competitive player in the Australian industry.
As BOQ’s Managing Director and CEO, David Liddy will address the Bayside Business Network on 1 September, explaining the key drivers of that successful transformation during challenging times for the financial industry.
Bayside Mayor Cr James Long said high level business speakers like David Liddy are ideal additions to the Bayside Business Network’s mix.
“The Council supports the Network as a forum for business discussion and the sharing of local business people’s ideas, opinions and experiences,” Cr Long said.
“With his experience of challenge and success at a major regional bank, David Liddy is well placed to enrich that mixture of knowhow and business judgement,” Cr Long said.
The Bayside Business Network’s final business breakfast will be at The International of Brighton, 81 Bay Street, Brighton, on September 1, from 6.30am. Entry is free to members and $44 for non members, with a discount for guests and Deakin Alumni.
