Community members are invited to provide feedback on proposed plans to upgrade the Bay Trail in Brighton. There are plans to move the bike path away from the busy North Point café and North Road. The plan is to align the bike path to be adjacent to the pedestrian path between the Bay and the playground. Council is also investigating plans to upgrade the Bay Trail from Head St to the Middle Brighton Baths.

On July 5 and 6 from 9.30am - 2pm on the foreshore between Bay St and Sandown St  there will be an opportunity to complete the Bay Trail survey and see a display promoting courtesy to all users of the Bay Trail. Thanks to the generosity of RoadSafe Inner South East, there will be 120 free bicycle bells and fifteen $50 vouchers to give away.

The survey can also be completed online until 22 July 2008.
