BAYSIDE residents can soon dispose of unwanted household items and branches through Council's annual hard waste and bundled branches collection service.
The collection will run over four weeks from 20 April to 18 May 2009.
Bayside Mayor Councillor James Long said the hard waste and bundled collection service provided an opportunity for residents to dispose of their excess waste responsibly.
“Residents can put out unwanted hard waste such as white goods, furniture, carpet, timber, mowers and bundles of branches for the kerbside collection.
“Residents who use this service are encouraged to make sure all their hard waste and bundled branches are placed out on the nature strip neatly and correctly,” Cr Long said.
All residents should have received Council’s Waste Services information guide 2009/10 earlier this year, which outlines how placement should occur and what can and cannot be placed on the kerbside for the collection.
Residents can visit the Waste section of the website for information on Council’s hard waste and bundled branches collection service.
