Alex del Porto lives in Brighton East and was Mayor of Bayside City Council in 2010/2011.
Cr del Porto was the planning chairman in 2009/2010 and has previously held the position of Mayor twice before in 1997 and 2004.
Qualifications; BA hons, and M.A. Melbourne University, Graduate Diploma from ACU.
He has lived in East Brighton for the past 24 years and is married with four adult children. He has a BA (Hons) and an MA from Melbourne University and Post Grad Dip in Secondary education from ACU and is currently a teacher in the private school sector.
He is extremely passionate about planning in Bayside and concerned about maintaining Bayside’s heritage and character for future generations to enjoy. He is also very conscious of the growing demand on services for families and older people in the City.
