Energy efficient transport

There are many opportunities to use public transport, car-pool or ride a bicycle. Other steps that can be taken to improve the energy efficiency of transportation include:

Converting a car to LPG
Considering energy efficiency when purchasing a new vehicle.
Light coloured cars are more fuel efficient on long drives, they heat up less quickly and need less air conditioning.
Removal of roof racks when you dont need them - they create drag and increase fuel consumption.
Driving in a fuel efficient way by avoiding excessive breaking and accleration.
