offers a comprehensive workshop series with established industry
professionals, an amazing short film program that brings to Bayside
some of the best shorts created worldwide, as well as featuring
films by young people within the municipality. This program -The

Welcome to the third annual Bayside Film
Festival.
This event delivers a program of educational
workshops, a comprehensive short film program featuring award-winning
local and international films and the very popular Youth Documentary
Program and awards.
The festival aims to provide the viewer
with an understanding of filmmaking locally, nationally and internationally
and provide an engaging experience that encourages the audience
to consider the world we live in through the films we make.
Practical workshops are facilitated by noted
professionals, Daniella Farinacci, Vincent Giarrusso, Katie Milwright
and Dennis Tupicoff, and it is a privilege to have them involved.
The Youth Documentary Project has been expanded
to include digital storytelling, in which first person narratives
are recorded to provide insight into peoples’ lives. The Youth
Documentaries are personal and reflective and affirm the importance
of understanding individual perspectives in our culture.
Please enjoy the festival.
