Food business registration fees
Registration forms are mailed to shop proprietors in November and payment is due by 31 December each year.
- Category 1: Food manufacturing
- Cost: $455 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 2: Hotels, supermarkets, food kitchens, hospitals, special accommodation, child care centres
- $431 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 3: Caterers, restaurants, bakery, cake sales
- $420 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 4: Cafes, take away, health food, delicatessens, fresh fish sales
- $385 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 5: Mixed business, food canteens, convenience stores, kiosk, sporting clubs, mobile food vehicles
- $285 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 6: Fruit and vegetable sales, liquor, packaged food, school canteens
- $215 plus $15 for each staff member (in excess of five staff)
- Category 7: Non-profit, charitable food sales, packaged food (<2 metres in area)
- Category 8: Food premises for one off promotion, festival and other events not otherwise covered, packaged food (>2m and/or requiring food safety plans)
- Category 9: Temporary food premises, for festivals and other community events not otherwise covered
- $58 Transfer of Registration fee 50 per cent of annual registration fee
Please note:
- a 50 per cent late fee applies to all the above registration fees.
