Community Grants Program
The Bayside City Council’s Community Grants Program encourages and assists local not-for-profit community based organisations. The grant proposals should benefit residents through an improved range of leisure, cultural, community development, environmental, health, educational, sporting or welfare programs or activities. Census 2006 The first release of the ABS Population and Household Census 2006 is now available. Data can be accessed based on demographic characteristics such as population size, education or ethnicity levels. Data is also available by location in the form of maps or can be selected by topic such as childcare, people living with a disability or housing costs. For more details click here
Community Profile The Bayside City Council Community Profile includes the first release of results from the 2006 Census of Population and Housing, and is designed to inform Council, community groups, investors, business, students and the general public. To achieve this, the Profile is formatted to present the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary. The profile presents data from the city as a whole and for each of the suburbs that make up the city.
Community Forecast The Community Forecast product provides population and household forecasts from 2001 to 2021 for the City of Bayside and its nine suburb areas. The forecast uses data from the 2001 Census along with the most up to date information on land development, fertility and death rates, migration patterns and household structure to inform forecast assumptions. The material is a resource for Council and the community and provides information on how local demographic characteristics are likely to change over time, and what is driving the change.
Social Atlas The Bayside Social Atlas, which also contains data collected in the 2001 Census of Population and Housing, contains a wealth of information about the City of Bayside community and its neighbours in adjacent Local Government areas. It contains maps and commentary illustrating a range of social demographic and economic characteristics of the population of the City of Bayside and surrounding areas.
