Title: Blood fever
Author: Higson, Charlie
Review:
James Bond's school is Eton. Mark Goodenough, James's friend, family disappers at sea. James find a secret society at Eton. Their symbol is a 'M' on each hand. In a place called Sardinia a man called Ugo builds himself a fortress. James Bond goes on an action-packed and dangerous journey. This book has 372 pages...I finished it in like three days....I could have finished it less time if I had more time. I rate this book 10/10!!! I can't wait till I get to read Double or Die and Hurricane Gold. A book for older readers...such as 12 +....if you have a good reading ability you might be able to understand this ... Blood Fever is the second in the Young Bond series.

Title: Brilliance of the moon
Author: Hearn, Lian
Review:
This is the third book in a series. I would only recommend it to 12 + as it has some gory details and some very tragic bits. As I LOVE READING and am very good at it (at a teenage level, assessed by a Brighton librarian.) I love the book and I am a little bit past half way in the fourth and last book of the series. There is a prequel though. The book is very complex. If you think you can handle these kinds of books, get up go to your library and borrow it now!

Title: Finn and the big guy
Author: Metzenthen, David
Review:
I like horse stories and this one is about a boy. It sounds like a real story and not the usual "horsey" book. It is also about being yourself and having a dream that you want to do.

Title: Halo: the fall of Reach
Author: Nylund, Eric
Review:
The Fall of Reach is a dramatic story of how the home world of the Master Chief was destroyed by an enormous covenant fleet. It also tells the story of when the Master Chief trained with the other 200 Spartans when the UNSC initiated the Spartan 2 project. I would recommend this to any Halo fan because it shows untold stories of the Halo trilogy. Plus its jammed packed with excitement, action and captures you till the end.

Title: Jacko Moran : sniper
Author: Catran, Ken
Review:
This war must have been really horrible. This book tells it like it was and what it must be like to be a sniper. From a street-fighter to a crackshot sniper. But war is not glorious.

Title: Letters from the inside
Author: Marsden, John
Review:
Letters from the inside is about two girls who get to know each other through letters. Mandy has a dog with no name and a creepy brother. Tracy has two horses and a great boyfriend. But Mandy soon finds out that Tracy isn't who she thought she was. Tracy is actually at a detention centre for something too bad to mention. It goes on with Tracy and Mandy getting to know each other a little more through every letter. In the end Mandy suddenly stops writing for an unknown reason.

Title: Living hell
Author: Jinks, Catherine
Review:
Cheney is 17 and has lived his life on a spaceship looking for a new planet where they can live in peace. When the ship collides with something in space, they are now inside a living thing. Under attack from the machines that have become cells and antibodies of the ship, Cheney and his friends have nowhere to hide and no hope of survival unless they can outwit the ship's massive system. This is a real thriller, not just for Sci Fi fans.

Title: Looking for JJ
Author: Cassidy, Anne
Review:
Children who murder other children make big news headlines, but what happens to them after they are released? What I liked was that this is a story about bravery and seeing things from an unusual perspective as the main character has to go on the run again.

Title: Northern lights
Author: Pullman, Philip
Review:
Northern Lights starts off with a bang and continues all the way till the end. There are so many twists and turns and just as you think the book has finally reached an ending another problem pops up. The first chapter introduces the main character "Lyra." Lyra and her daemon (pronounced like the english word "demon". Daemon is an animal that EVERY HUMAN has)Lyra walks into the retiring room where she is not allowed to go and spys the Master putting posion in one of the guests, Lord Asriel's drink, which also happened to be Lyra's uncle. Lyra warn Lord Asriel while the Master had gone. She spys in the wardrobe while Lord Asriel explains to the Scholars about his expedition. Then a rumour starts to go on that "Gobblers" were taking away children which was true. A beautiful woman with a golden monkey as her daemon captures them and sends them away to the North. Lyra's friend, Roger is taken away. The woman's name is Mrs. Coulter. Lyra goes and lives with Mrs Coulter and when she finds out she is one of the gobblers she runs away. Before Lyra went, the Master gave her a golden compass which always tells the truth. Lyra is then taken in with a gyptains. The book is so long, I can't explain it all. The things I have explained is only the beginning!!!! Read it. A well deserved 10/10 Phillip Pullman.

Title: Romulus, my father
Author: Gaita, Raimond
Review:
It is a great book about a boy and the relationship he has with his father. It shows that even in tough times you can still pull through with the encouragement and love from your family and friends living around you. I think it is a great and fascinating read.

Title: San Sombrero
Author: Cilauro, Santo
Review:
A good book for teens, rather than kids. It is a book about a made-up country named San Sombrero, and acts as a guide to the country. Very funny, although it has a lot of crude humour. (13 years up)

Title: Scatterheart
Author: Wilkinson,Lili
Review:
This book really lets me know what life was like for convict girls. She is sent to prison in London and then sent on a convist ship to Australia. Just as well she is a strong girl. The trip is really awful - the boats stink and they are treated badly. She is a real heroine.

Review:
Tom has narcoleptic attacks and sleep is his enemy. But can he trust his mind. His whole life has been a lie..and what about the medication. It is a sleeper conspiracy. An exciting book with action and problems like Alex Ryder. This is book 1 of a trilogy too.

Title: Sold
Author: McCormick, Patricia
Review:
I absolutely loved Sold. It was a sad story about the horrible parts of this world. It shows that through courage, determination and a little hope can change a nightmare into almost something too good to be true. I couldn’t put it down.

Review:
The media's adage "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" is tested throughout this novel.Emma's story is interesting albeit at times infuriating. Title: White tiger
Author: Chan, Kylie
Review:
~~^^ Great book! for older readers as there are some "dirty" scenes and "coarse language". The book revolves around Emma, a nanny to a rich man's daughter, from there it evolves into a world of magic, fantasy and gods. Sounds pretty boring...who needs gods?....its the best book i've ever read! 10/10 KYLIE!!
