Heritage controls in Major Activity Centres - approved by Minister for Planning
On 6 January 2011, the Minister for Planning authorised Council to prepare the Amendment C82 to the Bayside Planning Scheme to protect properties of heritage value, as identified by the City of Bayside Review of Heritage Precincts in Activity Centres, March 2007 (Revised June 2010) and Bayside Individual Citations (April 2007).
The Amendment was placed on exhibition from 25 August 2011 to 13 October 2011. Council received forty (40) submissions during the exhibition period. On 13 March 2012 Council resolved to refer the Amendment to an Independent Planning Panel to consider submissions.
The Panel Hearing was held from 20 to 21 June 2012. Council received the Planning Panel Report on 3 July 2012 and on 11 September 2012 Council resolved to adopt the revised Amendment.
The Amendment was then submitted to the Minister for Planning for approval.
The Minister for Planning approved the Amendment as submitted by Council on 13 February 2013. The Amendment came into operation when it was published in the Government Gazette on 28 February 2013.
