Payments
Rates & Charges
The methods of payment options available to Ratepayers for this financial year are:
- Payment via the Internet - (MasterCard and Visa only - amounts up to $5000)
Rates can be paid online using Council's Pay Online Server.
- Payment at any Australia Post outlet
Payment of any amount can be made at any Australia Post outlet Australia wide. Notices must be produced intact as payments cannot be processed if the section of the notice with the bar coding has been removed/torn off. Payment can be in cash, by cheque, by EFTPOS, or by credit card - MasterCard or Visa. Note: Diners Club and American Express credit cards are not accepted.
- Payment using B-Pay
Payment can be made through B-Pay by contacting your participating financial institution and quoting B-Pay Biller Code 7872 and the reference number shown in the B-Pay box on the front of the notice.
- Payment via the telephone with a credit card - (MasterCard and Visa only - amounts up to $5000)
Credit card payments can be made by calling 1300 308 162 and quoting the assessment number shown on the front of the notice in the telephone payments box.
- Payment via Bill EXPRESS at selected newsagents
At newsagents displaying the red Bill EXPRESS logo. For more information or locations call 1300 739 250 or visit http://www.billexpress.com.au.
- Payment via Acreis Once
Council has become a registered biller with Acreis Once. To register or find out more details go to http://www.payone.com.au or call Acreis Once on 1300 01 ONCE (6623).
- Payment by Direct Debit
Direct Debit can be arranged by completing and returning a Direct Debit Request Form. The Direct Debit Request Form and Direct Debit Service Agreement can be downloaded for printing or obtained by contacting the rates department on 9599 4478. Note: Ratepayers who paid by Direct Debit in 2006 - 2007, and wish to continue to do so in 2007 - 2008, do not need to fill in a new Direct Debit application form. Payments will be deducted on the first available banking day of each month between October 2007 and June 2008.
- Payment by mail
Tear off the lower section of your rate notice and send with your payment to: Bayside City Council, PO Box 27808 A'Beckett Street, VIC 8006 or Bayside City Council, P) Box 27, Sandringham VIC 3191.
Note: It is not possible to pay rates with credit cards by mail.
- Payment in person at the Corporate Centre
Payment can be made in person at the Corporate Centre, 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham, between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, by cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, MasterCard or Visa.
Note: American Express and Diners Club credit cards are not accepted at the Corporate Centre.
Infringements
- Payment via the Internet - (MasterCard and Visa only)
Infringement Notices can be paid via the internet using Council's Pay Online Server.
- Payment via telephone with a credit card:
Payment of Parking Infringements only can be made by telephone (using your credit card) by calling Bayside's Pay By Phone Service on 1300 308 162 and quoting the Infringement Number.
- Payment by mail:
Payment by mail addressed to Bayside City Council, PO Box 27, Sandringham. 3191; or to Bayside City Council, Private Bag 14806, Melbourne. Vic. 8001. Note: It is not possible for payment to be received by Credit Card by mail.
- Payment in person:
Payment in person at the Corporate Centre, Royal Avenue, Sandringham, between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, by cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, MasterCard or Visa. Note: American Express and Diners Club credit cards are not accepted at the Corporate Centre.
Animal Registration Renewals
- Payment via the Internet – (MasterCard and Visa only)
Payment can be paid using Council's Pay Online Server.
- Payment via the telephone – (MasterCard and Visa only)
Payment via the telephone by calling Bayside's Pay By Phone Service on 1300 308 162 and quoting your Animal Number.
- Payment via Australia Post
Payment can be made in person at any Post Office. Present your Animal Notice intact when paying.
- Newsagents
Payment can be made in person at participating newsagents - look for the "Bill EXPRESS" logo. Present your Animal Notice intact when paying.
- Payment by mail – (cheque and money order only – no credit cards or cash accepted)
Tear off the lower section of your Animal Notice and send with your payment to: Bayside City Council, PO Box 27, Sandringham VIC 3191.
- Payment in person at the Corporate Centre – (cash, cheque, money order, EFTPOS, MasterCard and Visa accepted)
Payment in person at the Corporate Centre, 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Aged and Family Services accounts
- Payment via the Internet – (MasterCard and Visa only)
Payment can be paid using Council's Pay Online Server.
- Payment via the telephone – (MasterCard and Visa only)
Payment via the telephone by calling Bayside's Pay By Phone Service on 13 18 16 quote Billpay code 0364 also quote your Aged Services account number.
- Payment via Australia Post
Payment can be made in person at any Post Office. Present your Aged Services account intact when paying. Payment can be in cash, by cheque, by EFTPOS, or by credit card - MasterCard or Visa.
- Payment by mail – (cheque and money order only – no credit cards or cash accepted)
Tear off the lower section of your account and send with your payment to: Bayside City Council, PO Box 27, Sandringham VIC 3191.

Change of Address
If you have changed your address, you can notify council by completing a Change of Address form.
