
Local Law No.1 - Meeting Procedures
The objectives of Local Law No.1 - Meeting Procedures are to:
- provide a mechanism to facilitate the good government of the Municipal District of the City of Bayside through its formal meeting procedure, to ensure effective and efficient Council decisions;
- provide mechanisms for the Council to ascertain the community’s views and expectations;
- provide for the election of Mayor and the Chairperson of any Committees:
- regulate and control the procedures governing the conduct of meetings, including:
- the notice required for meetings; and
- the keeping of minutes.
- regulate and control the use of the Council’s Seal;
- provide for the administration of the Council’s powers and functions;
- provide generally for the peace, order and good government of the Municipal District.
- facilitate community engagement by providing mechanisms as appropriate within the meeting arrangements for community members to express their views.
