We would like to thank the Victoria Police both Brighton and Moorabbin for their contribution. Not only did they assist in keeping Dendy Park safe for our community attendees but also assisted in a safe departure of hundreds of vehicles. They provided invaluable advice through the planning phases. The SES were also a major contributor to this success assisting with vehicular movements and parking. Councillor McLorinan, our new Mayor, officiated and congratulated all of the excellent performers including our Musical Director Robert Dryden who worked tirelessly in structuring a seamless program of community talent that made us all very proud to be Bayside residents. Please contact 9599 4444 the Events and Cultural Planning department, if you would like to obtain a program and a gold coin donation will go to our event Charities, Lifesaving Victoria and the Sacred Heart Mission). During the course of the evening the community raised $8,100 through the sale of the Bendigo Bank Songbook, the L'Oreal Gift Hamper raffle tickets and the Bayside City Council Glowstiks, these funds directly benefit the Sacred Mission and each of our municipality Lifesaving Clubs. We would once again like to congratulate and thank our sponsors for their support in staging this very important date in the Bayside Calendar.
