
Council encourages the planting of indigenous vegetation in public and private gardens by: Become a volunteer at the Bayside Community Nursery The nursery has a strong volunteer program that contributes to the propagation and running of the nursery and new volunteers are always welcome. The volunteer program provides an opportunity for enthusiastic members of the community to work alongside Council staff to propagate from local indigenous bushland plants to provide trees and shrubs to revegetate our bushland environment. When you become a volunteer, you can: Meeting date and time: each Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 12noon.
Community Nursery
The Bayside Community Nursery grows indigenous plants, grasses and trees for planting in Council's bushland, foreshore, parks and reserves and also for public sale.
Opening hours: The nursery is open to the public each Thursday and Saturday from 10am to 12noon.
