
Two other primary arterial roads, namely Beach Road/Esplanade/St Kilda Street and North Road (east of Nepean Highway) also serve the municipality, in addition to 17 secondary arterial roads and 12 limited arterial roads. Major traffic intersections include Elsternwick and Moorabbin Junctions. Bayside's public transport system includes a network of some 15 bus routes services by five private bus companies and the Met. Buses provide links with other bus routes, major shopping centres, Monash University, central Melbourne and other suburbs. Two suburban train lines service the municipality. The Sandringham line has six stations (Sandringham, Hampton, Brighton Beach, Middle Brighton, North Brighton and Gardenvale), whilst the Frankston line runs along the municipal border with stations at Moorabbin, Highett, and Cheltenham.
