To object to a parking fine infringement, the following information is required:
- your name and address
- your contact telephone number
- the infringement infringement number
- your vehicle registration
- an explanation or appeal (If you were not the person in control of the vehicle at the time of the infringement, you will need to fill in an Operator Owner Onus Form supplying Council with the name and address of the person that was in control of the vehicle at the time of offence).
All appeals must be put in writing and forwarded to:
- Appeals Officer
Bayside City Council
PO Box 27
Sandringham VIC 3191
The following explanations require a Statutory Declaration to be filled out, rather than a letter in writing:
- vehicle broken down/out of petrol/flat tyre, etc
- if the RACV attended, they can provide documentation of the call-out
- ticket/resident parking authority displayed that may have fallen from dash board, and not seen by Officer
- disputing time allocation on ticket
- disputing the alleged infringement on the grounds that it was not their vehicle.
Statutory Declarations are available by contacting Council on 9599 4444.
The matter will be reviewed by the Appeals Investigations Unit and a reply in writing as to the outcome will be sent in due course.
