Garbage collection

Household garbage is removed once a week using a 140 litre wheelie bin.

See the area map below to check when your garbage will be collected.

Place any domestic waste that cannot be re-used, recycled or composted in your bin. All domestic waste should be bagged to prevent spillage during collection.

Do not place the following items in your garbage bin

• building materials (bricks, concrete) 
• chemicals/solvents 
• green waste
• medical waste
• oil
• paint 
• soil 
• syringes
• timber 
• unwrapped vacuum dust
• unwrapped or hot ashes
• any other liquids

Order a smaller bin

To order a smaller 80ltr bin, contact Council on (03) 9599 4444. You will receive a rebate from your annual rate payment.

Order an additional bin

To order one additional 140 litre rubbish bin, contact Council on (03) 9599 4444. An additional fee of $147 per year will be charged per annual rate year.
