Bayside's open spaces and sporting and recreation facilities are highly valued by our community. Council is committed to the sustainable and equitable use of these facilities, to provide opportunities for everyone to participate in healthy leisure activities. Council's Leisure and Recreation Team provides support for recreation in Bayside through; strategy and planning; sporting club liaison; booking of facilities; leisure promotion and development. Council aims to work collaboratively with clubs, community organisations, other government agencies and sporting associations to facilitate opportunities to encourage community participation in healthy activities. Several organisations and peak bodies can also provide assistance to clubs with access grant funding and club development support.
