Huge suspended swarms of small crocheted and knitted jellyfish appear to float through the space. They form a curtain-like veiling that viewers can move around and through, appearing to deteriorate upon touch. Swarm raises questions about the relationship between
humans and nature and our impact on the marine eco-system. Look out for the workshops alongside each of the exhibitions where you will be able to make your own crocheted jellyfish.

Look at the amazing crochet jellyfish participants got to make!

In recognition of National Reconciliation Week, Bayside City Council celebrates our Indigenous history, culture and achievements. This year, Baluk Arts brings us Bush critters – delightful woven and sculpted animals inspired by the bayside and peninsula regions. These quirky creatures were created by local Indigenous artists from grasses, wool and string.  A selection of prints will also be included in the exhibition.

In conjunction with our National Reconciliation Week exhibition, Bush Critters, we are running two 3 hour weaving workshops inspired by Bayside animals which will be run by two Indigenous artists from Baluk Arts.
