From the pulsing energy of Carl Nielsen’s (Denmark) Little Suite for Strings to Astor Piazzola’s (Argentina) sensuous Libertango this concert presents works composers who worked away from the major orchestral hubs of central Europe.

Opening the concert is Luigi Boccherini’s (Italy/Spain) Symphony in D Minor which is an exquisite example of high classical orchestral writing before moving to turn of the 20thcentury Bucharest when the Bayside Chamber Orchestra’s wind section features in Georges Enesco’s (Romania) celebrated Dixtour Op 14 for winds.

Tickets: $20 adult & $15 concession, children under 9 free.  Includes complimentary refreshments.
