Garbage collection

Household garbage is removed once a week using a 140 litre wheelie bin.

To find out when your next rubbish collection is, view the Bayside Garbage Collection Calendar Schedule:

Place any domestic waste that cannot be re-used, recycled or composted in your bin. All domestic waste should be bagged to prevent spillage during collection.

Do not place the following items in your garbage bin:

building materials (bricks, concrete)
chemicals/solvents
green waste
medical waste
oil
paint
soil
syringes
timber
unwrapped vacuum dust
unwrapped or hot ashes
any other liquids

Order a smaller bin: To order a smaller 80 litre bin, submit an online service request or contact Council on 9599 4444. You will receive a rebate of $10.00 from your annual rate payment.

Order an additional bin: To order one additional 140 litre rubbish bin submit an online service request or contact Council on 9599 4444. An additional fee of $128 per year will be charged per annual rate year.
