Bayside City Council has provided 158 grants across eight programs within the 2020/21 financial year. Funded projects have created innovative opportunities to connect our communities in new ways, as we continue to navigate the ongoing implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Annual Community Grants recipients shared in over $208,000 to offer a wide range of programs and activities to Bayside residents with priority given to local not-for-profit community organisations with agendas to improve mental health and build social connections in response to the long-term impacts of COVID-19.
The Bayside Reactivation Grants program was a one-off fund established to help community groups get back on their feet after an undoubtedly difficult period and encourage re-engagement and increase participation in a COVID-safe way.
Contingency Grant programs include:
· Events and Festivals Grants
· Inclusive Bayside Partnership Grants
· Individuals or Families in Financial Hardship Grants
· New Program or Community Initiative Grants
· Donations to Fundraising Appeals
Major Grants are an investment in multi-purpose community centres that are accessible to all Bayside residents, meet the needs of the local community, and provide programs and activities that foster community cohesion and increase the quality of life.
