School Holiday Program

Autumn School Holiday Program cancelled

Bayside City Council is committed to maintaining the health of staff and the community. Council is closely monitoring the ever-evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and actively taking steps to mitigate the impact and spread of COVID-19 based on the advice of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Australia’s Chief Medical Officer.

As a result, Council has made the decision to cancel the School Holiday Program that was scheduled to take place over the Autumn school holiday period (Monday 30 March 2020 to Thursday 9 of April 2020 ). Please note you will be receiving a full refund for the activities you have paid.

About the program

The Youth Services team run a two-week program every Victorian school holidays for young people aged 10 to 17.

All activities are supervised by our fully qualified Youth Services staff and are mostly based at the Peterson Youth Centre (corner of Highett Road and Peterson Street, Highett).

A 50% discount is available to Bayside young people named on a health care card or equivalent.

Fees and requirements

Fees start from $30 for Bayside residents and include:

  • the activity cost
  • transport (excluding public transport)
  • healthy snacks and/or lunch (depending on time/length session)

Payment is required at the time of booking. No alterations, refunds or transfers can be made.

For non-Bayside residents, an additional fee of $47 per activity per person applies.

Some activities require waivers which can be downloaded, completed and emailed to youth_services [at] bayside.vic.gov.au.

Annual registration

All families must register annually to capture important information before bookings may be made. 

To register for the Bayside School Holiday Program you will need the following documents (if applicable).

  • Current medical plans with clear photo image (asthma, anaphylaxis, epilepsy etc.)
  • Current health care card (not medicare, must be centrelink issued)
  • Court Orders
  • Emergency contact name and number (other than listed parent/guardians)

Register your family for 2020

Registrations can take 3–5 business days to process.

Once registered, families will be issued with unique booking codes that are valid for the calendar year.

Pick up and drop off

Unless otherwise stated, drop off and pick ups are at Peterson Youth Centre, Corner Highett Road and Peterson Street, Highett.

Bookings

A 2020 annual family registration is required before bookings can be made throughout the year.


Autumn School Holiday Program

Bookings are now open and will close 5pm, Thursday, 19 March.
