Slow Art Day is an international event celebrating looking at art in a different way, with a focus on slow-looking and the way it can transform the way you view art.

Come along to Bayside Gallery this Slow Art Day for Capturing details usually screened and immerse yourself in the art and music of Jonathan Walker. Listen to DJ’s Cormicj and Haskings spin tunes from Walker's vast record collection in the gallery space surrounded by his artworks. This event offers a unique cross modality of the senses and a greater insight into the workings of an artist.

Cormicj and Haskings are a Dj duo that have been playing records for the past 7 years. Playing through a broad range of genres, they make selections based on each other’s choices. Many of their performances consist of a cassette tape launch where they provide mix tapes composed of the tracks they are likely to play. These tapes come with a new case design by the artists and an accompanying poster for each launch.

For the occasion of Jonathon Walker: Capturing details usually screened, Cormicj and Haskings will be selecting many of their tracks from Walker’s own vinyl record collection which they were both privileged to study in detail. This tape launch will be dedicated to Walker and his extensive collection.
