Bayside Local Exhibition

Interior view of an art gallery with paintings hanging from the wall

Bayside Local is a much-anticipated annual exhibition that celebrates the high calibre of work produced by artists who study, live or work in the Bayside area. We are currently calling for artists to apply for the 2021 Bayside Local exhibition.

Bayside Local is an annual group exhibition that showcases the work of accomplished artists living in and around Bayside. A range of media, techniques and approaches to art-making demonstrates the creativity of local artists and their engagement with the unique qualities of the area. In 2021 we are excited to be including the work of senior school students (years 11 and 12) who either live or study in Bayside into the exhibition. Students working in a range of mediums are encouraged to apply.

The exhibition is to be held from 28 January to 1 March 2021 at Bayside Gallery.

We expect to notify all artists of the outcome of their application by the end of November 2020

There is no theme or specifications for size or artwork medium, but those that present safety concerns or are offensive will not be considered. Artworks need to have been completed in the last 2 years to be eligible for the exhibition.

Bayside Gallery does not facilitate artwork sales. Sales enquiries will be directed to the artist or their nominated representative.

Applications are due Friday 16 October 2020.
