From artisan made treats and family fun activities to celebrity chefs (or just a cocktail at the MINI Spritz Bar), Bayside’s favourite outdoor food and wine event Bright n Sandy is back on Sunday 26 February.
Featuring nearly 50 different vendors the day provides an outstanding opportunity to experience the very best in local Victorian food and wine from artisan food makers and boutique beers and wine through to some of the region’s favourite restaurants.
One of the features that differentiates Bright n Sandy is the high quality food demonstrations at the Pantry Presents Demonstration Stage.
Featuring leading chefs such as the European’s Ian Curly, Adam D’Sylva from Coda & Tonka and Daniel Wilson from Huxtaburger, the demonstration stage offers attendees to learn how to bring the best of Melbourne cuisine to their own kitchens.
Bayside City Council Mayor Cr Del Porto said that Bright n Sandy continues to be a significant event on the Bayside calendar.
“Over the past 13 years, Bright n Sandy has grown from a small picnic in the park to an annual event that attracts over 6500 people,” Cr del Porto said.
“Held in the magnificent surrounds of Brighton’s Green Point, the event brings together the best of Bayside with outstanding beach vistas and great food in an event with something for the whole family.”
The 2017 event will see the continuation of the children’s program with kids cooking classes, arts and crafts activities and the ever popular smoothie bikes.
“Be it to get a taste of the best of Melbourne’s cuisine or just an opportunity to connect with family and friends, Bright n Sandy helps to bring our community together and make Bayside a better place.
