Councillor Hanna El Mouallem is a Bayside resident, married father of two teenage children and a Project Manager with two post-graduate degrees and 20 years’ experience in delivering built environment projects. He is also involved in a family business that has been operating in Brighton for over 35 years.
Cr Hanna El Mouallem has advocated for the protection of Bayside’s residential community for many years and, as the representative for Dendy Ward, looks forward to contributing to the strategic direction of the municipality while prioritising the enhancement of open space and protection of liveability from inappropriate development and traffic congestion.
Cr Hanna El Mouallem is passionate about community gardens and believes that they play a significant role in connecting the community, promoting physical wellbeing and providing a space for kids to learn and seniors to connect.
Participating as a panellist for the Bayside 2050 Community Vision project provided Cr Hanna El Mouallem with an insight into community concerns and aspirations and has committed to work tirelessly to deliver community-focused projects and balance the intergenerational impacts of land and asset use so future generations can enjoy what we love in Bayside.
