Early Arts Guild of Victoria

Launched in the Brighton Library 16 years ago under the title Early Music in the Very Round, began a long association with the Early Arts Guild of Victoria who have been a regular feature of the present-day Resonance Music Series.

From early music, the original project gradually developed a multi-layered format that also features historic dance, period costumes and the ancient art of gesture. With its 5 one-hour concerts and unique Christmas Pageant, it is Melbourne’s longest-established annual celebration of medieval, renaissance and baroque arts. Centres outside of Melbourne also benefit, with Resonance early arts programs often repeated at Ballarat and Warragul.
