Enter the 2021 Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition

We are back for the 21st edition of the Young People of Bayside Art Exhibition, showcasing your amazing talents online and in the Bayside City Council Foyer again.

This year's theme is 'Embracing the Moment'. Entries are open to young artists aged 10 - 25 with a connection to Bayside until Friday 25 June 5pm.

What do I need to do before completing this form?

  1. Check out our tips for photographing your artwork.
  2. Ensure artwork is appropriate for a general audience.
  3. Artwork must be no bigger than 100cm x 100cm.
  4. Review our terms and conditions of entry.

What do I need to complete this form?

  • Upload an image of your artwork.
  • Include a 30-word statement saying how your artwork responds to the theme 'Embracing the Moment'.

How do I submit my physical artwork?

All work must be ready to be displayed. This means your work must be framed or mounted with two D-rings on the back when physically submitted. Let us know if you are unable to do this when you complete this form.

Physical artwork must be delivered between Tuesday 22 June and Friday 25 June to:

What happens after I submit my artwork?

Artwork will be displayed at Bayside City Council Corporate Centre (76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham) between Tuesday 29 June and Monday 16 August.

Artwork can be collected from Monday 16 August until Tuesday 31 August during business hours.

    For example oil on canvas or watercolour.
    Width (cm) x height (cm). Maximum size: 100cm x 100cm.
    In 30 words or less, please describe how your artwork responds to the theme 'Embracing the Moment'. This will be displayed during the exhibition.
    Files must be less than 10 MB.
    Total upload limit per form is 20 MB.
    Allowed file types: gif jpg jpeg png tif psd pdf.

    If you are struggling to submit your artwork via the file upload the you can:

    1. Try uploading it to our Share File account, with the file labelled with your name and artwork title. You will also need to complete and submit this form.
    2. Email your artwork to freeza [at] bayside.vic.gov.au (subject: Youth%20People%20of%20Bayside%20Art%20Exhibition%20submission)  and include your name. You will also need to complete and submit this form.

    If a member of the public enquires about purchasing your artwork, we (Bayside City Council Youth Services) will email you the offer and this will conclude our involvement. We (Bayside City Council) will not be part of the negotiation, selling, or delivery of purchased artwork. Artists and buyers enter into these agreements independent of Bayside City Council.

    Photos will be reproduced for promotional purposes for this event including print and digital formats.
    We are asking this for initial interest to help us plan for the event. A separate RSVP invite will be sent for actual attendance confirmation.
