The program consists of 10 sessions:

Scam alert – How to reduce the risks of falling prey to scams. Presented by Consumer Affairs.

Choosing the right device – Laptop, iPad, Samsung, wireless – what’s the right device and internet option for you? Presented by Joanne from Stay in Touch.

Healthy Living apps for adults – From monitoring your fitness, eating better, brain games and de-stressing, explore the tools to help you make informed decisions about your health and assist in achieving a healthier lifestyle. Presented by Joanne from Stay in Touch.

Introducing the Library eResources – Get more out of your subscription library resources. Presented by Fiona and Lisa your Brighton Branch Librarians.

Family history and family photos – Learn how to organise your old photographs and transfer them to digital format. Presented by Heather and Natasha, our wonderful Family History Librarians.

Creating picture collages and photobooks – Create beautiful collages and photo-books Presented by Jo Lambie from Stay in Touch.

Video to DVD and slide converter – Convert your old videos to DVD. Presented by Danya and Josh, our clever techie team.

Introducing new tech – Try the Silhouette Cameo machine to cut paper, vinyl, heat transfer, stickers and much more. See the 3D Printer in action! Presented by Melanie, our creative techie.

Coding – Coding is now being taught in schools around the country, but what is it all about? Learn to distinguish your Boolean logic from your binary code! Presented by Danya and Josh, the techie experts.

Enjoy a cuppa and refreshments at the first session. Meet the presenters and other participants.

Who should attend? Those new to technology or wanting to learn more.

Each participant receives  – A showbag with a program, a What’s On at Bayside Libraries booklet, library brochures and a free ticket to one of our IT training classes.
